5:30pm-6:00pm ECC Community Shabbat Service
These services are specially designed for families with young children, creating a warm and welcoming space where little ones can connect with their heritage in a fun and engaging way. If you’re looking for a way to introduce your preschooler to the beauty and joy of Shabbat, step into the welcoming embrace of a Family Shabbat Service. You might just discover a new favorite family tradition in the making!

6:00pm-7:00pm Community “All Other Nights” Shabbat Dinner
The entire WJC community is invited to join us for a Shabbat dinner. We will do all the things the Four Questions say we do on “all other nights”: eat chametz and matza and all kinds of vegetables, sit up or recline, and we won’t dip, not even once. $18 per adult, $10 per child, $60 per family (max)

7:00pm: Join us for our Rhythm & Ruach Service in the Chapel.
Make WJC your home on Friday night. Join us for an hour-long service to welcome Shabbat, reflect on the week, and connect with God and with each other. Learn new melodies and sing your old favorites, accompanied by our volunteer music ensemble.

8:00pm: Our Moth Shabbat follows the service in the Activity Center.
Join us for our annual Moth Shabbat as we listen to WJC community members share their personal stories. This year’s theme: “Being Jewish in [fill in the blank; life, business, etc].”

Our Moth Shabbat draws inspiration from The Moth Radio Hour, a popular podcast featuring captivating true stories. These real-life stories on various themes, are often humorous, poignant, and thought-provoking. The Moth has gained popularity for its ability to connect people through shared experiences and foster empathy and understanding. Interested in learning more or would you like to contribute?
