The J.O.Y. Club presents
On July 26 at 3:00pm, we are delighted to have our second ZOOM presentation. Our speaker and fellow WJC congregant, Dr. Howard Leaf, will review the origins of the COVID-19 virus, its transmission and clinical presentation, testing, and various scenarios for what may lie ahead.
The COVID-19 pandemic remains a significant issue for global health and the economy. Much has been learned since the infection’s emergence in December 2019, and yet many in the general public remain uncertain as to how to best protect themselves, what testing options are appropriate for their families, and what the future may hold in terms of treatment and vaccines.
Howard received his M.D. from Cornell and then trained in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at NYU, where he is currently a clinical associate professor. He serves as the hospital epidemiologist at the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System, where he has helped develop hospital COVID-19 policy. He also serves on the WJC COVID-19 Task Force.
In addition to J.O.Y. Club members, all WJC members are invited to join us.
